Project Engineer

Under general supervision, provides professional knowledge for project management, design and permitting of all BJWSA Capital Improvement Projects and/or private development related projects. Coordinates activities to ensure all projects, are designed and permitted in a timely manner. Reports to the Capital Projects Manager.

Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related field and a minimum of three to five years’ experience in engineering related functions and project management, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Prof. Engineer or an Engineer-in-Training license preferred.
  • Must possess experience working with various computer applications and the ability to use BJWSA-specific software.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Starting Salary: $2,232.80 to $2,790.72 bi-weekly (depending on qualifications) plus excellent benefits package to include S.C. CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER

Under limited supervision, manages the related planning, design & construction activities of BJWSA Capital Improvement Projects. Coordinates activities to ensure all projects are designed to meet the needs of BJWSA, & are constructed on schedule, within budget, with minimal problems & in accordance with the approved plans & specifications.

Requires:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (from accredited engineering program) in civil, environmental or mechanical engineering or related field with a min. of 6 yrs of experience in engineering related functions & project mgmt, or any equivalent combination of educ. & experience that provides the required knowledge, skills & abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles & practices of project mgmt as applied to the planning, design & construction of major water & wastewater facilities.
  • Database mgmt skills using Excel & Access.
  • S.C. Professional Engineering license preferred.
  • Valid driver’s lic.

 

Starting Salary: $2,895.20 to $3,690.40 bi-wkly (DOQ), + great benefits pkg.
