BJWSA provides reliable drinking water to our customers. The purpose of our program is to eliminate the danger to public health from a cross connection.
Piping and plumbing systems are continually installed, altered, repaired or extended; therefore, a cross connection control program is imperative to protect public health. Spring checks and residential dual checks provide a basic level of system protection. When the degree of hazard represented by the customer requires a higher level of system protection they will be required to install a Reduced Pressure Zone Principle Assembly (RPZ).
