Carl is a native of the Lowcountry, born in Beaufort. He is active as a Board Member of the United Way of the Lowcountry and Southern Carolina Regional Development Alliance. He is a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and a volunteer at the Good Neighbor Free Medical Clinic. He and his wife of 30 years, Cassi, have two adult daughters, Reilly, and Reagan.

Kilpatrick is the Chief Banking Officer of the Bank of the Lowcountry where he manages all lines of business and leads initiatives to improve both customer experiences and internal leadership development.
